Our Nowthen Heritage Festival 2023 was a great success!

Thank you to the Heritage Committee, local businesses, Nowthen City Staff and Council, the Nowthen Fire Department, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, the many volunteers and our Nowthen residents who helped to make this year’s Festival a day of Fun, Friends, and Family!

 

After a delicious Pancake breakfast under the big tent, the park was crowded with people enjoying all the activities: the petting zoo, inflatables, demos, arts & crafts, food booths, live music, the creative scarecrows, and of course the Giant Pumpkins.

 

Because of storms that were forecasted to arrive at 5 pm, we made the call to postpone the fireworks. The storms came through as predicted and with the help of many volunteers, especially the amazing Aikido team, we were able to clean up and all get home safely. The fireworks will be used for our 2024 show.
